32GB NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet with LTE pre-orders begin today in U.S.

NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet and ControllerWhen NVIDIA launched the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet in July, it did so with only a 16GB Wi-Fi model. It promised that a 32GB LTE would follow a bit later. If you were saving your pretty pennies for that day, your wait is nearly at end if you live in the U.S. or Europe. The company today began to take pre-orders for the new model with shipments set to begin on September 30.

Now you can buy the SHIELD tablet with 4G LTE capabilities for streaming movies, music, Twitch and playing your favorite multiplayer games, like War Thunder, on the go. It’s a fully unlocked device and has the capability to support 70+ carriers worldwide.

NVIDIA also announced three new games optimized for SHIELD tablet: Kart racing Buggy Racing, the multiplayer BombSquad which features a number of mini games like capture the flag and hockey and the 3D, turn-based strategy game Broadsword: Age of Chivalry.

The NVIDIA SHIELD tablet with 32GB and LTE sells for US$399. It is available directly from NVIDIA as well as a number of U.S. retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy and Tiger Direct.

There is no word yet on availability and pricing in Canada.
