ALCATEL ONETOUCH announced at CES 2014 that it was bringing two smartphones to Canada in the coming weeks. Both the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Idol X and Idol Mini have now landed courtesy of Bell Mobilty. Both promise to offer customers “high quality smartphones at a great price.”
The ALCATEL ONETOUCH Idol X is the higher-end model of the two with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 5-inch Full HD (1080×1920) IPS display and a 13MP rear camera. The ALCATEL ONETOUCH Idol Mini comes with a 1.3MP dual-core Mediatek MT6572, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 4.3-inch FWVGA (480×854) display and a 5MP rear camera.
Bell is offering the Idol X in either black or red and the Idol Mini in black for CA$249.95 and CA$149.95 outright respectively. Both are also available for free with a two-year contract.
The ALCATEL ONETOUCH Idol X is also available from Virgin Mobile Canada. Pricing is nearly the same: Free with a two-year contract or CA$249.99 with a two-year contract.
