Apple is holding its next press event tomorrow. It is widely expected t unveil its latest smartphones and quite possibly its first wearables. Rumours have consistently pointed to Apple readying two new iPhones, one with a 4.7-inch display and another with a larger 5.5-inch one. China Mobile may now have revealed key specifications of the 4.7-inch model. If this information is accurate, here is what we can expect:

- Operating system: Apple iOS 8
- Display: 4.7-inch (1134×750) with sapphire glass
- Internal storage: 16/32/64/128GB
- External storage: None
- Rear-facing camera: 8MP
- Front-facing camera: 2.1MP

- Dimensions: 138 × 67 × 7 millimeters
- Colours: Gold, white, black
- Other: Dust and waterproof
China Mobile also reveals that the official launch will follow on September 19. It is likely that the launch will be preceded by a pre-order period as Apple has done in the past.
The China Mobile report adds that the 5.5-inch model will launch somewhat later. It provides no details about this larger device or its expected launch window.
All, including the Apple iPhone 6 specifications, should be revealed within hours.
