Is this the first photo of the LG G3?

Rumoured LG G3Despite having been the topic of numerous rumours, a picture or photo of the LG G3 itself has proven elusive. Until today when GSMArena landed a picture. The single photo shows the back of the device, revealing a few new details.

As expected, the volume and power buttons will remain on the back. They have been redesigned, adopting a circular design. Above is the camera, flanked by what appears to be dual LED flash on the right and another sensor on the left. What that second sensor is remains a bit of a mystery.

Handwritten notes behind the device suggest that the LG G3 could come with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Past rumours have hinted at both. Assuming that the LG-LS990 is indeed the Sprint version of the LG G3, we have seen its UAProf file show both 2GB and 3GB of RAM. It also appears that variants will be offered with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.

It is also expected to sport a 5.5-inch WQHD (2560×1440) and  “advanced personalization” features, including a concierge-type service that provides contextual advice.

It may well be that LG is working with prototypes with different configurations to decide which one to bring to market when it unveils the LG G3 later this year.

The LG G3 is expected to be unveiled in late June.
