Google Play carrier billing now supported by TELUS Mobility

TELUS

There is good news if you are a TELUS Mobility customer who likes to shop through the Google Play store. A new payment option, carrier billing, has now been added. Already available to Bell, Fido and Rogers customers, carrier billing lets you charge your Google Play purchases (apps, books, music and more) to your TELUS account. Your purchases will then appear on your TELUS bill at the end of the month.

PayPal on Google Play

Anyone who does not have a credit card or does not trust Google with it, carrier billing is a welcome new option. There is one small catch though: A maximum of CA$25 can be charged per month this way. If nothing else, it will prevent your children from racking up the in-app purchases!

While TELUS has yet to make an official announcement, Google wasted little time in updating its support pages for supported payment methods.

Google also recently added PayPal as another supported payment method.

Having choices is always a good thing!
