LG W Watch heads to India for testing?

Import notice for LG Watch W2The LG G Watch is widely expected to feature prominently at Google I/O 2014 later this month and could launch as early as next month for around US$200. Meanwhile, a second LG smartwatch appears to be in the works already. We first caught wind of it back in April when LG submitted a patent submission for the LG W Watch. A device bearing the very similar name Watch W2 has now made its way to India.

India’s Zauba imports tracking database shows that the LG Watch W2 entered the country on June 10. As is so often the case, there is little information to go with the entry except that it is an R&D sample.

It should be pointed out that this may not be the LG W Watch though. It could be another LG G Watch model (LG-W2xx) as well as MyLGPhones suggests.

Zauba also reveals that LG also sent the LG-F410S to India for R&D purposes. This is the the third device to be spotted in what appears to be a new family of high-end smartphones bearing model numbers LG-F4xx. The first two were the LG-F460L and LG-F490L (codenamed Tiger and Liger respectively according to a tip we received).

All in all, it’s not much to go on but it gives us some new model numbers to keep an eye out for.
