MWC 2014: Huawei announces Huawei MediaPad X1 and Huawei MediaPad M1 tablets

Along with its new Huawei Ascend G6 4G and Huawei TalkBand B1 smart wristband, Huawei today unveiled the 7-inch Huawei MediaPad X1 and 8-inch Huawei MediaPad M1 tablets. The two are billed as “the world’s slimmest 7-inch LTE Cat4-enabled all-in-one phablet” and “the 8-inch entertainment powerhouse” respectively.

Huawei calls the MediaPad X1 a phablet despite the fact that it is the same size as many tablets. If nothing else, it does prove that the line between smartphones with large displays and small tablets is blurring very quickly.
