New Microsoft Lumia branding found on upcoming device

TENAA filing for Microsoft RM-1090Microsoft unveiled new branding for its Windows Phone devices in late October. As expected, the Nokia name will make way for the Microsoft one. The company also posted some images of what the new branding will look like. New images posted by China’s TENAA telecommunication equipment regulator have now given us a glimpse at how the new branding will look on an actual device, the upcoming Microsoft RM-1090.

As Microsoft itself has already shown us, the Microsoft name will appear on both the front and back of the device. It will be joined on the back by the Windows logo.

As for the RM-1090, it is reportedly a new mid-range device roughly the same size as the Nokia Lumia 830. It will sport a qHD (540×960) display, HSPA and GSM connectivity and support for dual-SIMs.

Microsoft promised that they are “looking forward to unveiling a Microsoft Lumia device soon.” The Microsoft RM-1090 could well become the first Microsoft Lumia device to be announced. There is no word on exactly when Microsoft will make the RM-1090 official but it would appear that it will happen before the end of the year.
