Bremont announces America’s Cup Collection

Bremont America's Cup collectionBremont announced in May that it would become the Official Timing Partner of the 35th America’s Cup and Oracle Team USA. To celebrate this new partnership, the company has unveiled a special edition series of timepieces aptly called the America’s Cup Collection consisting of four different watches, all with 43mm cases.

Giles English, Bremont Co-Founder; “Bremont is incredibly proud to be involved in such a historical event, not least of all to be the only watch company allowed to build a watch associated with the 35th America’s Cup and Oracle Team USA. The America’s Cup is possibly the only team extreme sport out there; these boats are built using pioneering technology which makes the race more exhilarating to watch with each Cup. We’re excited to see these new watches be put through their paces on the water, they will certainly be Tested Beyond Endurance.”

The collection consists of The America’s Cup Series with the Bremont AC I and Bremont AC II and the Oracle Team USA Series with the Oracle I and the Oracle II. The former are “inspired by the legendary J-Class yachts of the 30s, both classic and beautiful.” The latter are sportier models based on the Bremont Supermarine and promise “a new standard in technical innovation, precision and durability.”

Bremont AC I

The Bremont AC I sports clean and simple lines with  sea blue steel hands and an ivory white opaline dial embossed with outlines of the Cup. Its 43mm polished steel case houses a BE-36AE automatic chronometer movement visible through the sapphire glass back. Water resistant to 10 ATM (100 meters), it is finished with a blue Temple Island rubber strap.

Bremont AC II

The Bremont AC II is a bi-compact chronograph made from rose gold. It retains the blue steel hands set against an ivory white opaline dial but the embossing has made way for sub-dials at the three and nine o’clock positions. This time, the case houses a BE-50AE automatic chronometer movement visible through the exhibition case back. It is also water resistant to 100 meters.

The Bremont Oracle I and Oracle II are billed as “a reliable piece of equipment for any seafarer” and are water resistant to 500 meters.

Bremont Oracle I

The Bremont Oracle I’s off white dial sports the Oracle Team USA branding as well as a red tipped minute hand. The stainless steel case houses the same BE-36AE automatic chronometer as the Bremont AC I as well as an automatic helium escape valve and anti-magnetic Faraday cage. It is finished with an integrated red rubber strap and black kevlar style strap with stainless steel pin buckle.

Bremont Oracle II

The Bremont Oracle II adds support for a second time zone enabling GMT functionality. Its varnished matte black dial sports a more discrete “Americas’ Cup” logo just below the center with the Oracle Team USA branding to be found on the case back. Also sporting an automatic helium escape valve and anti-magnetic Faraday cage, it relies on a BE-93-2AE automatic chronometer movement.

The Bremont AC I and Bremont AC II sell for US$4,695 and US$19,095 respectively. The Bremont Oracle I and Oracle II sell for US$5,595 and US$6,195 respectively.
