Cornerford: Gentleman watches inspired by the 1920s

Cornerford NeroWhile the traditional watch industry may be nervously looking over its shoulder as smartwatches continue to catch on with consumers, new players continue to unveil new horological collections. Case in point is UK’s Cornerford which aims to offer “Gentleman Timepieces” inspired by the 1920s.

We craft and stand for superiority. We work hard to get where we are. The desire to bring our men the finest and our demeanour is unquestioned by anyone! This Empire shall be built by us.

You need the finest to be the best. Look good and conduct yourself in a way that will make others want to be you and use the finest to excel. This is just the beginning.

Following a successful if very modest Kickstarter campaign designed to raise funds to build the brand, Cornerford is kicking things off with two models: The Nero|Black and Bianco|Brown Timepieces.

Cornerford Blanco

Cornerford has opted for a sleek and minimal dial bereft of any tourbillons or complications and aims for an understated sophistication. In their own words, “No need for bright yellow watch dials that seem to land on the wrists of the lewd.”
