How to watch Apple’s “Spring Forward” event

March 9 2015 Apple eventLittle news today is expected to receive the level of attention that Apple’s “Spring Forward” press announcement is expected to garner. The event is expected to focus on the upcoming Apple Watch. As the company has done recently, the event will be livestreamed, albeit with the usual caveats.

The “Spring Forward” livestream will kick off at 1000 PT (1300 ET). The usual software and hardware requirements are in effect: Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later. Once again, Apple has excluded users of other operating systems.

First unveiled back in September 24 at an Apple event focused on the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the Apple Watch has remained in the news ever since as rumours swirled and analysts pondered what the new device would mean both for Apple and the wearables space as a whole. Much should be made clear today though as Apple is expected to reveal key details such as availability and pricing.

We can also expect to see more than a few app announcements in support of the Apple Watch. Look for a number of product demonstrations to take place as well.

Apple could also use the event to unveil new MacBooks, including a 12-inch Retina MacBook Pro and an updated MacBook Air lineup.
