BRM (or British Racing Motors) is better known as a brand associated with Formula 1 racing. More recently, the famed initials have resurfaced as a French watchmaker that unveiled its first timepiece in 2003. The watches produced since then are almost always inspired by the car industry. The new BRM Art Car collection introduced at Baselworld 2016 is no exception. In all, four models were unveiled, each inspired by the famous art cars and pop art. Each will be limited to 100 pieces.
According to company founder Bernard Richards, “”Greys, blacks, these dark colours are hard to digest in our times… we need a little cheer!” The BRM Art Car collection certainly achieves that splashes of bright colours not only on the dial but on the strap and even the crown and push buttons on models that have them.
