Huawei Honor Band A1Huawei today unveiled its latest fitness band, the Huawei Honor Band A1, at an event in China. Unlike the Honor Band Z1, the new wearable does not come with a display and will more directly compete against similar basic fitness bands from Xiaomi and Fitbit. Recognizing that aesthetics are playing a growing role in the selection of such devices, the Honor Band A1 will be available with either a silicone or leather band in a range of colours.

The Huawei Honor Band A1 comes with the usual fitness and health tracking features. Everything from steps taken, distance traveled, calories burnt and your sleep patterns will be tracked. LED lights and a silent vibration alarm will provide notification alerts when there are incoming messages or calls.

One feature that distinguishes the Honor Band A1 from many competitors is its UV sensor. It will measure UV levels and help protect you from harmful UV radiation by being able to suggest the type of sunscreen.
