As expected, ASUS today unveiled its latest smartwatch at IFA 2016. As rumours suggested, the ASUS ZenWatch 3 does away with the rectangular display for a round one. Other significant upgrades over previous models include the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor which is designed specifically for such devices and the new ZenFit app.
The ASUS ZenWatch 3 sports a jewelry-grade stainless steel case available in three colours: Silver, Gunmetal, Rose Gold. The round display is protected by gently curved 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass (not the new Gorilla Glass SR+) and is ringed with a rose gold bezel. ASUS is also offering some 50 software watch faces for personalization. If none of these work for you, more can also be created with the the FaceDesigner smartphone app.
Three crown buttons provide quick access to frequently used functions, including ZenFit. The top button can also be assigned a specific function, allowing a user to set their own favourite or most-used action.
Further customization will be possible thanks to a range of stitched Italian leather and high-quality rubber straps.
