And just like that we’re in 2016! Allow me to wish each and every visitor to EyeOnMobility a very happy new year. Thank you for your ongoing support and for making our little corner of the Internet a regular stop on your digital journey.
Long time visitors will have noticed that 2015 kicked off with a new focus for the site. We focused almost completely on wearables and, for the first time, traditional timepieces. All in all, we posted nearly 800 stories! While smartphones have become nearly ubiquitous and they continue to improve, wearables have caught our attention thanks to the many innovations they have brought about. At the same time, many of us, including us here, face a daily dilemma: Strap on that new smartwatch or that traditional watch which may do a whole lot less but simply looks awesome. That daily conundrum led to a growing focus on the world of traditional watches. Instead of Instead of the gamut of built-in features, watches stand for elegance, fashion and jaw-dropping complexity and precision.
We’ll continue to focus on wearables, particularly those that find room on our wrists. With the CES and SIHH tradeshows both just around the corner (and Mobile World Congress not far behind), there should be plenty of exciting news to kick off the new year. We’ll once again be there to bring you the most interesting stories from the worlds of horology and wearables.
