Apple Insider has taken a look at how well the different iPod lines are selling. It turns out that the 4GB iPod mini continues to be the most popular with consumers. It seems to strike the perfect balance between price and capacity and is responsible for weaker sales than expected of the 1GB Shuffle and 6GB mini.
A interesting rumour in the article is that Apple is working on a product that would fit somewhere between the iPod shuffle and the iPod mini. Could it be a higher capacity Flash-based player with screen?
The article also looks at other Apple product sales – The Mac mini seems to be doing well, accounting in some cases for 1 in 3 Mac sales!
