Hitchhiker is a free Wi-Fi utility that helps you connect to WiFi hotspots that it has located in your vicinity. An updated version has just been released and features both bug fixes and enhancements:
- Fixed bug in looping the available network list
- Support for both WEP and WPA-PSK encryption
- “Allowed Network List” feature added with only those listed to be connected to
- DNS test prolonged from 8 seconds to 12 seconds for better accuracy with less responsive DNS servers
- Improved VGA support
- Configuration files now in indented XML format
- Red warning message added when connected to public networks
- More bugs and enhancements
Hitchhiker requires Windows Mobile 2003 as well as WiFi connectivity.
