While we still have to see the HP iPAQ h6300 in Canada, the palmOne Treo 650 is now available through Rogers Wireless. The Treo 650 is palmOne’s latest GSM/GPRS quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) smartphone. It features EDGE-enabled Internet access (about 135 kbps), Bluetooth, a 320-by-320 pixel display, 32 MB RAM of memory (with 23 MB of it being user-available) and an SD expansion slot. It also comes with an embedded VGA camera with automatic light balancing and a 2x zoom and an embedded mp3 player.
The Treo 650 is powered by Palm OS 5.4 using a 312 MHz Intel XScale PXA270 processor. A 1,800 mAh swappable battery offers up to 6 hours talk time and up to 300 hours standby time according to palmOne.
With a three-year plan, the Treo 650 will cost $549.99 CAD.
