iBaby is definitely an unusual application. It transforms your Pocket PC Phone Edition device into a baby monitor. If the sound level in the baby’s room crosses a threshold, iBaby will call a preset phone number. You answer, listen to find out what is going on and when you hang up, iBaby goes back to monitoring.
The software warns that it does drain batteries fairly quickly but it will call you if the battery level drops below 15%. This obviously limits the software’s usefulness but it could still be handy for short periods of time where you may not hear your child as easily.
The software is free and available in both French and English.
