Anonymous sources have told Mobility Today that HP is working on an HP Smartphone based on the XDA Atom. This supports a rumour about an HP-branded quad-band XDA Atom that we told you about earlier this month.
This anonymous source adds that this smartphone will use an HP firmware and a silver case, that it could be designated the iPAQ hw6800 and that it will be tri-band rather than quad-band as suggested earlier.
The release date is to be April 2006.
