Microsoft releases Internet Explorer 7

The latest version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is now available for download. Among the new features are tabbed browsing, web search right from the toolbar, advanced printing, support for RSS feeds, improved web standards support and security feature to help against phishing sites and malware.

Windows Update will start pushing out IE7 to most users early next month but you can download it now if you can’t wait (it will also be pushed out sooner to current IE7 release candidate and beta users).

According to OneStat statistics, Internet Explorer has seen its market share drop to 85.9 (it had been even lower earlier in the year). Mozilla is expecting to release the final version of Firefox 2 later this month as well.
