More details on Yahoo UMPC

Yahoo UMPC

Remember that Yahoo-branded UMPC unveiled by Intel earlier this month? The same UMPC (this time in a rust brown colour scheme) surfaced again at the Fall Intel Developer Forum in Taipei this week. The device will be manufactured by Quanta and will run Windows XP Tablet Edition and the Yahoo! Go ultramobile suite (a software suite developed with Intel to deliver digital entertainment like TV, photos, music and other content to devices that use Intel Viiv technology).

The device comes with a QWERTY keyboard that slides out and turns 90 degrees to form a t-shaped device. Pictures also suggest a camera could be built-in.

None of the partners involved in this project have provided information as to when we could see this device and for how much.
