More Apple Trademarks

Back in 2005, Apple registered two new trademarks: “iPod Hi-Fi” and “iPod Boombox”. Could these be clues to future Apple products? For example, could the iPod Hi-Fi be an improved iPod featuring improved sound and video capabilities? The trademark descriptions unfortunately sheds little light on the matter.

Before Macworld 2006, one rumour that had surfaced was that Apple would release iPod companions, including one that was essentially an oversized iPod with bombox-type speakers. Rumoured to be called iBoom, maybe it will be known as the iPod Boombox instead.

Interestingly, the trademarks have apparently only been registered in Hong Kong. Maybe, Apple is just having some fun?
