Philips unveils DVB-H SD card

More good news at Computex: If your mobile device does not come with DVB-H capabilities, Philips’ new SDIO TV1000/TV1100 cards may be of interest to you (assuming you are in such a market). The card is a little bit bigger than usual at 24 x 39 x 2.1 mm (a bit of the top will stick out for the antenna, which itself is extendable for better reception). Stable reception while on the move is achieved using 120Hz Doppler performance.

Two models will be available: The SDIO TV1000 is intended for the European and Asian markets and the TV1100 is intended for the US market. Both will come with the necessary hardware and software, including drivers for both Windows Mobile and Linux devices.
