Opera Software released Opera Mobile 8.6 for Windows Mobile today. Opera Mobile(TM) 8.6 for Pocket PC takes full advantage of the larger screen and higher resolution of PPC devices by offering tabbed browsing and surfing in horizontal landscape mode. The browser is based on Opera’s newest core code and runs on Windows Mobile 5 and 2003 SE. It offers features like tabbed browsing, landscape and portrait modes, a zoom feature for better accessibility, a full screen mode, Opera’s Small-Screen Rendering engine that lets you fit web pages to the screen, a pop-up handler and a padlock icon for secure sites.
30 day trial versions of Opera Mobile 8.6 are available for both Windows Mobile 5 and 2003 SE. A separate version for Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphones is expected shortly. Opera Mobile 8.6 will cost $24 USD after the 30 day trial.
