Meanwhile, Verizon and UTStarcom Personal Communications have announced the Pocket PC XV6700. The XV6700 also runs Windows Mobile 5.0, has dual band and EV-DO capabilities, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and Bluetooth. Unlike the Treo 700w, it comes with WiFi and a 2.8-inch TFT 240×320 screen, a more powerful 416MHz Intel XScale processor and a miniSD slot. It also has 64MB RAM and 128MB Flash ROM.

The XV6700 will be available on January 19 for $299.99 USD after $100 rebate with qualifying two-year contract and data plan).
