iLounge is reporting that Microsoft will either preview or announce a new Zune at an event on Monday. I so, the most likely scenario is that it will be a flash-based player. Microsoft had hinted back in April that it would have some Zune news in May. Perhaps this is it.
Earlier rumours about the flash Zune suggest that it will measure about 3 by 1.25 by 0.25-inches and its screen will take up about 75 percent of the front. Like the current Zune, it will come with Wi-Fi capabilities and the doubleshot finish.
It’s interesting that a site covering Apple products has the story while sites focused on the Zune have all been quiet. We will see Monday if they got it right.
