Users of the AT&T 8525 can rejoice. It looks like HTC has quietly announced that the 8525 will also receive a free Windows Mobile 6 upgrade. Look for another upgrade for the AT&T 8525. In Fall 2007, HTC will offer a Windows Mobile 6 upgrade, free to all existing customers. The text appears about two thirds of the way down.
Given that we’ve already seen Windows Mobile 6 upgrades for the HTC P4500 TyTN and O2 Xda trion (all variants of the same model), this move comes as no surprise.
Hopefully we will soon get a more specific date as to when in the Fall HTC will make the AT&T 8525 update available.
