Steve Jobs will be the special guest at a major EMI press event tomorrow (April 2nd). The press invitation speaks of an “exciting new digital offering”. The two leading rumours about what will be announced suggest that EMI could either announce that it is adding the Beatles catalog to iTunes (Apple and the Beatles’ Apple Corps record label settled their differences earlier this year.) or that iTunes will start offering the EMI catalog without DRM on the iTunes Store.
The news conference will take place at 1pm London time so we should know early tomorrow (in North America) what’s up.
