HTC S630 Cavalier now available

HTC S630

You can’t say that the HTC S630 (Cavalier) has not had an interesting life. We first found out about the Cavalier last November. Over the next few months, the Cavalier appeared and disappeared off product roadmaps. Then came the unboxings, an FCC approval, and this week, it started to pop up for sale on sites as an unlocked device.

Mobility Site found it on mobile planet for US$564.95 and Brighthand also found it on E-Gadget Depot for US$559. In Canada, I found it on Superior Gadgets for CAD$577.25. I also found it on Addicted to Phones for US$574.99.

The Cavalier is powered by a 400MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6 Standard. It comes with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, UMTS (2100/850/1900) and HSDPA support, a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, a 2MP camera and a microSD slot.

Curiously, the HTC S630 still has not been announced by HTC and it is not listed on its web site.
