i-mate announced its latest device, the i-mate JAMA, earlier this week. The JAMA perfectly combines ease-of-use, with a very light and extremely compact design. Packed with Windows Mobile® features, the compact JAMA has proved to be an instant hit with customers around the world and will be soon distributed to global fast growing smartphone markets.
The i-mate JAMA is powered by a 300MHz Samsung processor and Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC AKU 3.2 (a rather odd choice). It comes with dual-band (900 and 1800MHz) GSM/GPRS support, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth 1.2. The JAMA also includes applications such as i-mate Profile to manage ringtones, i-mate Media Control Panel and i-mate Configurator (a utility that automatically locates and sets the data connection settings to access the internet).
