On the heels of the i-mate Ultimate 6150 getting FCC approval, the 8150 has also received certification, paving the way for a potential release in the United States.
The i-mate Ultimate line (so far consisting of the 6150 and the 8150) comes with a common set of hardware specifications (Windows Mobile 6 Professional, 520MHz processor, VGA, quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a microSD slot and FM tuner) but differ in their form factor. The 8150 adds a 12-key keypad and its VGA display measures 2.6-inches.
External pictures posted as part of the submission show the 8150 in silver with black highlights, unlike the new black colour scheme shown on the i-mate site.
