More info on upcoming HTC event and on the HTC Kii (Updated)

HTC

Thanks to MoDaCO, a few more details have been revealed about the HTC events scheduled for next week.

It is likely that at least one of the devices that will be unveiled will the HTC Nike which improves upon the HTC Touch by adding a slide-out keyboard (very similar to the RIM SureType-type keyboard) and 3G connectivity. Pictures of the HTC Nike have been leaked, courtesy of a completely new site. This site also suggests that the HTC Nike will be known as the HTC Touch Slide when it hits the street.

MoDaCo also reports that two other devices will be unveiled but there is no word on what these will be (although the Omni may not be one of them).

Meanwhile, The Boy Genius reports that the Kii is none other than the HTC Juno which will go by the name T-Mobile Shadow when it hits the street. Our informant explained to us that “Kii” was found on the back of the battery cover. HTC Kii is the HTC Juno. So, what is the HTC Phoebus then? Perhaps a CDMA variant?

In terms of specs, the HTC Juno/T-Mobile Juno will be powered by a 201MHz processor and will come with 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a QVGA display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a slide-out 20-key keyboard (hints of RIM SureType again). It will be available in brown or sage green apparently.

Update: MoDaCo has apparently gotten new information on the two other devices that will be unveiled by HTC next week. They are apparently the HTC S730 (Wings) smartphone and the late formal announcement of the HTC Shift.
