The consumer release of Windows Vista, XP’s 5-years-in-the-making successor is just around the corner (January 30th). With Vista, we finally say good-bye to ActiveSync and hello to the Windows Mobile Device Center. Integrated into Vista, you will not need to download it separately and it will be updated via Windows Update.
The Windows Mobile Device Center will be compatible with Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 and future releases (eg, Windows Mobile 6.0 or Crossbow).
