Last week (while I was travelling), rumours surfaced anew of an iPhone nano. The new rumours started after a Chinese Web site called iDealsChina indicated that accessories manufacturer XSKN was preparing cases for this new iPhone model. The rumours are now gathering strength as the company is now showing an iPhone nano product category, albeit empty right now, on its web site.
If the leak turns out to be true, it would not the first time that XSKN has outed a new iPhone model. Earlier this year, XSKN revealed case designs for the iPhone 3G before Apple announced the new iPhone model.
Rumours of a smaller and cheaper are not new. With the global economy and mobile handset sales slowing, Apple may be looking at the lower end of the market to build on the sales momentum it built this year with the iPhone 3G.
