BenQ to enter netbook market by end of year

According to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, Taiwan-based BenQ will announce netbooks later this year.

Two lines will be offered under the Joybook Lite name. The first will come with an 8.9-inch display and the second will have a 10-inch 16:9 aspect ratio display. Both will come with an Intel Atom processor, Windows XP and a built-in 3.5G module.

The 8.9-inch model is expected to launch in October and the 10-inch model will follow in November.
