Gizmodo confirms Apple iPhone June 9th annnouncement

Apple

Gizmodo has apparently confirmed that Apple will announce the 3G iPhone on June 9th during the WWDC Keynote. The “confirmation” comes from sources close to the 3G iPhone launch. Best of all, the new iPhone should go on sale immediately after the launch rather than later on in the year.

Apple is also expected to announce new pricing policies. The new iPhone will be available in a significant number of countries and, unlike the first generation iPhone, should sell at variable pricing. For example, carriers will be able to offer service plan subsidies. No specific pricing details have been revealed.

With three weeks to WWDC, the 3G iPhone countdown is on!
