India is the latest country to announce an upcoming auction for wireless spectrum. The global auction will offer up 60MHz of spectrum for 3G mobile services and could bring in up to USD$10 billion for the Indian government.
The auction is also expected to improve service and spur even more growth in the world’s fastest-expanding market (some eight million new subscribers are added every month).
The auction will be held in December 2008.
