Latest Beatles iTunes discussions stalled

Sir Paul McCartney revealed today that discussions to get music from the Beatles on iTunes have stalled. According to McCartney, the latest stalemate is between Apple Corps Ltd, the band’s holding company, and EMI, the record label.

“The last word I got back was it’s stalled at the whole moment, the whole process,” the former Beatle said. “I really hope it will happen because I think it should.”

An EMI spokeswoman confirmed that an agreement between EMI and Apple Corps. still had not been reached but remained hopeful that progress would soon happen.

The two Apples put aside their differences over a year ago after some acrimonious legal battles.
