Microsoft releases new cumulative Daylight Saving Time update for Windows Mobile

Daylight saving time is about to spring us forward an hour. Microsoft has released a new cumulative update with changes made since the last changes in August 2007. A February 2008 daylight saving time (DST) update is available for Microsoft Windows Mobile-based devices. This update changes the time zone data to accommodate DST changes in several countries.

The new update includes changes to Arabic Standard Time and more specifically the Baghdad time zone as well as Central Australia Standard Time, Australia Eastern Standard Time, and Tasmania Standard Time.

The update is available directly from Microsoft for both Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6 (Pocket PC and Smartphone).
