In a DigiTimes report about the fact that ASUS has outsourced the manufacture of the Eee Top to Quanta are some interesting details about distribution and future models.
The current Eee Top ET1602 which just launched in Taiwan is also headed to Hong Kong and the UK. Initial shipments could read up to 200,000 units.
The article also reveals that ASUS will also release 20- and 22-inch models in the first half of 2009 (the ET1602 comes with a 15.6-inch display). By then, it could have competition from Acer, Lenovo and MSI who are all also expected to enter this market segment.
