When Nokia and Microsoft announced that Nokia would offer Silverlight to Symbian Series 40 devices, S60 on Symbian smartphones and its Internet tablets (like the N800 series), Microsoft did not have much information about Silverlight Mobile for Windows Mobile. Fortunately, the Silverlight Mobile web page has now been updated with new information.
A First Developer CTP version of Silverlight for Windows Mobile 6 will be available in the second quarter of the year. Like the desktop version, it will be a browser plug-in but it will be version 1.0 rather than the recently released desktop version 2.0.
Microsoft should also shortly update the Silverlight Mobile page with links to the MIX 2008 presentations on Silverlight 1.0 for Mobile.
