Sony Ericsson has come out and denied recent rumours that the XPERIA X1 release could be pushed out to 2009. According to Sony Ericsson spokeswoman Merran Wrigley, indicated the development remains on track and indicated that the XPERIA X1 will be released in the fourth quarter.
Aside from the rumours, attendees at the IFA tradeshow currently underway in Berlin, Germany are also reporting that XPERIA X1 units on display are crashing or not even starting up.
The XPERIA X1 will be the first Windows Mobile device to be released by Sony Ericsson but it is actually manufactured by HTC.
