There are more signs that Telus Mobility is about to launch its new Koodo discount wireless mobility service. In Toronto, a booth with the name Koodo Mobile is being set up at the Eaton Centre. Over at the Pickering Town Centre, the online directory now lists Koodo Mobile.
Late last year, Telus Mobility registered the name Koodo Mobile in a number of provinces as well as the domain name koodomobile.ca.
It appears that Telus will use the Koodo brand to target youths by allowing it to use different marketing and sales strategies more tailored to that demographic. For example, Rogers and Bell use this approach with their Fido and Virgin Mobile brands.
The launch could be announced as early as Monday.
