Garmin-Asus planning Android phone for 2010

Earlier this month, Garmin-Asus announced that it will launch an Android-powered smartphone in the first quarter of 2010. One executive indicated that it might even come out before that. Few details were released but it would use Garmin GPS technology.

Garmin-Asus announced two smartpphones earlier this year. The nüvifone G60, the original nüvifone which was actually announced back in early 2008, and the nüvifone M20, a smaller model with a 2.8-inch touchscreen and powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. And what about that Eee Phone?

Considering that we’re still waiting to see both the nüvifone G60 and M20, Garmin-Asus might consider getting those two devices out before announcing new ones.
