Gigabyte to unveil several new devices at MWC

Earlier this week, Gigabyte announced plans to introduce three new product series at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Details are slim but we should not have to wait too long to see exactly what Gigabyte has in store for us this year.

In its multimedia series, Gigabyte will (re)-introduce the MS820 (first announced at last year’s MWC). It also promises a second model with more powerful specifications.

In the Style category, Gigabyte will announce the GSmart S1200 which was first revealed on the company MWC invitation card. Powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm 7200A processor and Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 (or perhaps Windows Mobile 6.5), it will feature a touchscreen with special coating to prevent smudges and be only 11 millimeters thick. It will also come with Smart Zone, Gigabyte’s own user interface for Windows Mobile.

The Business category may be the most interesting. Here, Gigabyte promises something very different. Whatever it is, it will have more functions to support business operations. Security will be another focus.
