The Bluetooth SIG has revealed that a Windows Mobile 6.5 version of the HTC Cedar has received Bluetooth certification. Cedar is the HTC codename for the HTC Ozone, the CDMA variant of the HTC Snap.
While HTC has yet to confirm it, this would suggest that the HTC Snap and Ozone are in line for a Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade. Or would HTC release a new variant when Windows Mobile 6.5 gets released? If so, I bet more than one current Snap or Ozone user would be a little upset.
I suspect that we will see a flurry of manufacturer Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade announcements as we get closer to the release date. Hopefully we can now count the HTC Snap/Ozone among those.
