Strong pre-orders for its upcoming Kindle Fire tablet have apparently prompted Amazon to increase its orders for 2011 to five million units. Digitimes adds that this is the second time that the retailer has increased orders since announcing it in late September.
While Amazon has not provided pre-order numbers, it apparently took about 95,000 on the first day of pre-orders.
The Kindle Fire is set to launch on November 15th for US$199.
