There is some good news today for AT&T customers who have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Sony Ericsson today announced that an Android 2.1 upgrade will be available as of today, finally allowing users to upgrade from Android 1.6. The update comes with 720p HD video capture, multi-touch support, continuous auto-focus in still and video capture, face detection in video capture and five homescreens (up from three).
It’s not clear why it took so long to release this update but I hope that it will take less time for them to release the promised Android 2.3 update.
