ASUS confirms Eee Pad Slider “coming soon”

ASUS first announced the Eee Pad Slider at CES 2011 along with along with the Eee Pad Transformer and two other tablets. It promised availability in May and while it may not deliver on this promise, it has confirmed via Facebook that it is “coming soon”:

For those of you waiting for the Eee Pad Slider, we’ve got some good news for you: it’s launch is due soon! There are a few slivers of the retail spec Slider running Android 3 honeycomb, over at Techinstyle.tv today. Then later look out for in-depth pictures and hands-on previews at your favorite online media, after our press conference on 30th May next week!

ASUS Eee Pad Slider

There are no new details about the Eee Pad Slider. AT CES, ASUS announced that it would come with a sliding keyboard, NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, Google Android 3.0, 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen displas, a rear-facing 5MP camera with LED flash, and a front-facing 1.2MP camera.

Hopefully ASUS will shed more details including specific availability details next week.
